Technically you are ineligible.

But as they say...you're only guilty if you're caught.

If I were undocumented, I'd cut that shit out even if not discovered.

Because...

1) It's just wrong and a person of true moral character wouldn't do that
2) It gives credence to what Dream Act naysayers say (illegals have fake IDs and it'd be rewarding bad behavior, etc.)
3) You can screw yourself out the Dream Act if it passes
4) Maximum penalty of 5 years and a maximum $250k fine

Hmm..what if I applied with one and got a background check, but never actually worked under it? Would they find these applications?

This is what I was thinking. I really hope not, my husband's parents gave him a fake s.s. when he asked for his (under the thoughts that he was not illegal) and has worked at the same job since. The problem is we can't financially afford for him to quit and still have food.
