Texas Sens. Hutchison, Cornyn oppose Dream Act
12:00 AM CST on Thursday, December 9, 2010

By MELANIE MASON / The Dallas Morning News
mmason@dallasnews.com

WASHINGTON – Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, the target of pressure from demonstrators at her district offices, says she will vote against legislation today that would create a path to citizenship for some children of illegal immigrants.

The senator voted to advance the bill in the Senate in 2007 but considers the current version too broad.

"I will not support the Dream Act legislation brought before the Senate because it expands the scope of the bill beyond the intended individuals who were brought here as children and grew up and were educated in the United States," Hutchison said Wednesday.

I checked on Olympia Snowe's website and she hasn't released any statement against the dream act. The source of her claiming to vote against it is from NumbersUsa, so I'll take it with a grain of salt.

THANK YOU! Someone gets it. If someone barricaded themselves in my house and made demands, I would call the police then do the opposite of everything they say. Why the hell is everyone so RETARTED
