How long will it take for us to sponsor our parents

How long would it take us (DA Beneficiaries ) to sponsor our parents to change their status. I know it will take 13 yrs for us to become citizens but how long will the process be for us to change our parents status after becoming USC. How long will the Process be like how many years after we are USC.

If the house version passes, I think it'll be 25 years. After that, if they're still alive, it's usually less than a year.

Then, it takes 6 months to change your parents' status. I know i know that it sounds too fast; however, under current US immigration law, your parents are considered immediate relative. Thus, they have super priority to adjust their status.

It would depend on if your parents entered without inspection or not. If they entered without inspection in would be about 25 years total. 1 year to get signed up for DREAM, 13 years until your citizenship, 1 year to get process going , 10 year bar for them once they leave the country, then maybe, if you are really lucky - they can come back.

Take 10 years off that total if they were a visa overstay.

You can see why they are worried about a massive "chain migration" effect ( that was sarcasm )

Now, raise your hands if you even have 170 relatives that you know of? [crickets] That's what I thought.

OK, after 13 years, if your parents are here illegally, I think they have to wait another 10 years, then they wait in line.
