If that's true, then we should be able to guess who the 56 Senators are that are going to vote yes on cloture. Here's my guess for the 56:

1. Akaka
2. Inouye
3. Begich
4. Murray
5. Cantwell
6. Wyden
7. Merkely
8. Feinstein
9. Boxer
10. Reid
11. Bingaman
12. Udall
13. Udall
14. Bennet
15. Dorgan
16. Johnson
17. Franken
18. Klobuchar
19. Feingold
20. Kohl
21. Durbin
22. McCaskill
23. Lincoln
24. Bayh
25. Lugar
26. Levin
27. Stabenow
28. Brown
29. Nelson
30. Rockefeller
31. Webb
32. Warner
33. Mikulski
34. Cardin
35. Coons
36. Carper
37. Casey
38. Specter
39. Menendez
40. Lautenberg
41. Schumer
42. Gillibrand
44. Dodd
45. Lieberman
46. Reed
47. Whitehouse
50. Kerry
51. Leahy
52. Sanders
53. Shaheen
54. Collins
55. Murkowski
56. Bennett

Who else could we arm twist? Go for Manchin (57), Ensign ( 58 ), Brownback (59), Baucus (60), Hagen (61), Conrad (62)

I just can't imagine Senators Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe voting against DREAM.

eh. I'm not feeling too good about Sen. Snowe. Not just on DREAM, but on a lot of other things too. Snowe is going to have to face a Republican primary challenge in 2012, and it'll probably be a right-wing Tea Party Republican.

I would imagine that she is really scared of that, and is looking to drift to the political right to make herself not so much a target of the Tea Party.

It's easier to armtwist Democrats than Republican senators.

After finding out Conrad is probably a yes vote too, I would say that we have 57 good yes votes. Now, if Baucus could be flipped, Manchin could join in, and Ensign or Brownback be convinced, we've got it.
