All those phone calls .... nobody heard them!

All those faxes ... nobody read them!

All those youtube videos ... just time wasted!

All those marches to Washington ... money spent in vain!

All those speeches on campuses all around the country ... gone with the wind!

Nothing worked.

This should not happen never again.

From now on we should see this fight as fight for human rights. for civil rights.

We should imitate some how what black people did decades ago.
Do we have our own "Martin Luther King"
What about our own "Rosa Parks"

The fight should continue, but this time REAL HARD. Please no more faxes, no more calls.

That's not an improvement.

Time to change tactics.

We got the House to fucking pass it. We did something right. We knew it was going to be tough but it was worth the fight.

Of course the house was going to pass it. There is no filibuster there and we only needed 208/255 Democratic senators. We got that many easily with a room to spare, (9 Dems who did not vote at all because there was no need to) and we already knew we had some Reps on our side from the getgo.

Calling senators is by far the least effective way of trying to influence their opinion and a complete waste of time. They know that most of the supporters are not USC and are ineligible to vote, as opposed to the critics, making their support for the bill and thus the senator meaningless.

And comparing our activism to the civil rights movement in the 60s? What the fuck is wrong with you? What the fuck are you going to boycott? Are you not going to put more gas in that car you're not allowed to drive in the first place? Or maybe stop getting on those greyhound buses that none of us go on anyway because of the BP checkpoints? Oh, I know you're going to get all 750,000 dreamers to go on one big march that won't even make it on TV, like that other immigration march that happened earlier in the year. We have no power, no money, can't vote, the American public doesn't like us organizing, and we are not even news worthy anymore. People simply do not care, as long as they do not see us moving into their nice suburban neighborhoods. Fuck this thing.
