Hi!

Is it ok to have your name on the registration or would you be far better off to have someone else's name on there eg: friend or a relative ?

Also do insurance people accept IDL ? and if so can you please give me some companies that do? ( I live in SoCal)

Thanks alot

It's perfectly fine to have the vehicle registration in your name.
And yes, most companies accept IDLs. Some companies will take you even if you only have a passport. My insurance agent is from TX so I don't know any from California.

depends where you buying it from, if its from a dealer its going to be hard. from private party then just pony up cash and sign the pink slip.

“Today the U.S. Senate substituted political posturing and cowardice for leadership. With an 11th-hour chance to pass the DREAM Act, the Senate chose to scuttle the opportunity for young people to fulfill their potential and contribute fully to our country, the only place they call home,” she said. “Across the nation today, millions of Americans feel a deep sense of grief and betrayal. This is not the America we should be. We will not let Congress off the hook. We will continue to fight for justice and opportunity, and stand up against destructive and divisive measures.”

Check The Hartford; it’s a good company to go with.

where in so cal do you live? i can refer you to an insurance broker that I know for sure will accept your IDL. also, you should have no problem registering your car with an IDL at the DMV.
