No bullshit. Obama is initiating a grassroots movement. I've said it 100 times along with so many other political strategist that this shit didn't pass not because it had some flawed policy elements but because of nativist hostility from extreme right that emboldened the racist fuck GOPs in the senate.

Once Americans realize this, and yes an average American will support this bill, there will be compromise. An average citizen does not even know what the Dream Act is. CIR won't likely pass but DA will. I am not sure if this has a shot early next year, but certainly within 3 years, enough publicity and discussion will have been had.

It will pass. No bullshit, no blind optimism. It will pass because grassroots movement is the way to go.

I think it should pass within a year with a grassroots movement if Obama gets going on it very early in the year. Don't forget to factor in the momentum that we have going into the new year. It's on the record that a majority of Americans support the Dream Act and a majority of Congress supported the Dream Act before the new Congress takes over.

It's a fancy word, in this case being used by this lame duck president to once again convince hispanics that democrats are watching after our interests while republicans are not.

This statement always confuses me, doesn't CIR cover everyone? why do they need to include dream along with cir...feel free to correct me if I am wrong. I have always seen others referring to dream act being included with CIR. Why would there need to be dream act if Cir legalizes all undocumented? Unless they pass dream first (which I don't think will happen) and then Comprehensive reform afterwards.
