The Republicans argument for not voting in favor of Dream is that the borders need to be secured first. What if there was a fine we had to pay during our conditional status that could go towards more border surveillance, tech, manpower, would you support that idea?

What if it was 10,000 dollars over the span of 10 years? 100 dollars a month without interest.

We know that Republicans won't vote for it because their only interest is being re-elected and there's a stigma about the browns, this whole securing the borders argument is a lie, just politicians being politicians. Just throwing that out there to hear what people think.

LOLL what we need is massive propaganda that states:
most dreamers are over stays. A minority are EWI.

To be honest, the republicunts are alluding to those types of immigrants. Sure, I bet a majority are humble, non English speakers but they paint them as terrorists, smugglers and scum.

1We have to separate Dreamer from EWI [or the fantasy created by FOX and remember FOX=REPUBLICUNT]
2We have to create a new acronym.

1 should be priority #1. fuck fines.

Separate Dreamer from EWI? What a great idea. We also need to set the age cap at 18, so only kids can dream, not adults. How about deport dreamer's parents before their kid can apply for dream act? These rule will get 50% if the republican on board.

The version that passed the House and failed in the Senate had a $2000 fee already on it

$10k is a _lot_ of money, even spread out over ten years. Don't forget that no matter how many times a 4.0 valedictorian is paraded out before the cameras, that truth is that the majority of illegals really are dirt poor.

$5k for ten years

Wow... well logic doesn't work. I really do believe then it's discrimination, nothing is going to change their mind so long as their venomous base are frothing from the mouth with hate.

It doesn't matter how much fine we add to this bill. The bill that Senator Hatch and McCain supported is much more liberal than this one. If they want to vote yay, they are going to voted yay. It doesn't matter if the age cap is 35 or 30, doesn't matter if the fine is 1 million dollars. They are still going to vote nay, because of the tea party and their re-election. This is the truth, I know the truth hurt!

No! Honestly why do people come in here with these type of questions? We could compromise and compromise until there isn't a DREAM anymore. The reason this didn't get enough votes is because of people decided it wasn't great for their political career to support it. Not because it was not strict enough. I know we all want this to happen, but how much are you willing to bend for others. The DREAM is not even about us anymore, it is political.

You are a freaking joke. Everything you typed after ewi is a horrific distortion. you obviously didn't get the hint that politics are won on television and to a lesser extent, the internet.what you propose or imagine that I proposed is absolutely cruel. Take a hint from the news [Aespecially fox and his other companies that reach approximately 3/4 of the world each day] jeez stfu and quit warping my views.
