Have you guys ever considered owning your own business? A few months ago, I met a young man that implanted this seed in my head, like Inception, and ever since, this idea has been growing. I read this article and thought maybe this is another venue, another option that we had not yet considered.

Read this article and tell me what you guys think!

You can't open up business bank account w/o visa(can't open bus acct w/expired, tourist or student visa either). Without business bank account, you can't pay taxes and you can't operate business without paying taxes.

Well I have registered about 3 businesses, and I opened a Chase business account.

I do have a SS# given to me by a lawyer when I was really young, but that's irrelevant because all of my businesses are registered using my ITIN and ETIN, and I file my taxes using my ITIN.

So if my mom has a valid SSN, an unexpired passport (without a visa), ITIN, she can open a Chase business account?

Yes, you can.
First, to operate as a "Sole Proprietor", a regular bank account will do.

Second, you can indeed open a "Business Bank Account" if you are incorporated an entity (like an LLC) using an ITIN. I have personal experience with this.

Third, the government does NOT care what kind of bank account you use to pay them. As long they get paid, they are happy.

This is a really dumb question, but oh well...

For a while now I've been thinking about modeling (and I'm not getting cocky here, I just see it as a way to make good money to continue paying for school and help my parents). Since I don't have a social, I've been thinking about opening a corporation (that corporation's name would be my full name), which would allow me to get paid through that (all this in case I finally grow some balls and decide to do this modeling crap...).

Am I just being too delusional? or it could actually work?

Of course you can start your own business, I know people that started their own services and started small. Their businesses didn't grow big, but since then have established firm customer base and are doing ok.
I don't know the legal details, but my guess is they have registered their services as companies.
At least as suggested by a tax preparation consultant that I went to see on an unrelated matter, you can register a business in your own name regardless of your immigration status as long as you can identify yourself and be registered in some form with IRS that they should expect taxes paid from you.
Now, what will that business be in this economy with general populace seeing their budgets shrinking and prices rising, that is up to you to decide...
