Can you just say you're a US Citizen and get away with it? My friend did just that while riding Greyhound and they just moved on and didn't even ask him to show proof.

Also what are our rights?

Lol NO... don't ever say that your a USC when your being asked by a Law enforcement agency, especially ICE or BP. If they decide to check your paperwork, what are you going to do? It is a Felony to say that you are a U.S. citizen. In one of your post you said that you came to the U.S. by visa, you still have a way to legalize, now or even in the near future, saying that your a U.S. citizen is an offense punishable by a lifetime ban. When it comes to your rights, well read one of Abaddon's periodicals about that. Just don't sign anything until you have an attorney present.

Its true you never know when they will strike, but that has nothing to do with you being honest and preventing any future problems. Usually when they ask you, are you a citizen they follow up with questions, as well as I.D. etc. your friend maybe just happen to be lucky or if she is a girl she's hot lol... I've been asked by immigration officials, and you tell them something and they don't believe you, at least they didn't for me. They asked me for I.D. USCIS work permit, etc. their a hassle but i would never claim to be a U.S. Citizen just because it causes so many problems.

Let me put it like this. It's worse to claim you are a USC than having possession of a couple oz's of MJ.
