So, I have been going out with this guy for a couple of months nnow. He knows Im by myself and working and trying to go to college. He recently asked me to move in with him since he recently became the CEO of a new company. He has asked me to move in and that I don't have to work but only concentrate on school. He even recently bought me a car so that things were easier for me. The problem is, that he doesn't know I'm illegal. I had to tell him that I had a visa. I know lyon isn't gonna take me Nywhere, but as you know it's hard to confess such a thing. In any case. He told me that he was gonna help me get papers. Is there. Way fo him to do that? And if so, how do we get started? No, I can't marry him cause gay marriage isn't allowed in Cali. :/. Any idea?

Even if you were allowed to marry in the state, the federal government does not recognize same-sex marriage. So becoming legalized through gay marriage is not possible even if The New Adventures of Old Christine tell you otherwise.

I don't know what to tell you. Maybe you can try talking to your boyfriend and go see a lawyer to look into what can be done. Hopefully he'll understand.

You should give moving a shot. I've been in your shoes and it's a big step. You'll experience a whole new side of a relationship.... It's better that you tell him of your status BEFORE you move in with him. Arguments are unavoidable in ALL relationships an he might feel lied or betrayed if you tell him later on. I can almost guarantee you that he will sympathize with you UNLESS he's a teabagger or another anti. It's better to get over this hurdle now than later. Good luck with the moving in. You'll need it

Not to sound shallow, but I hope he let you keep the car. I mean, get something out of the relationship, no?

You'll get it over it. Plenty of fish in the sea!

Not necessarily true for all.

The truth is if they can do this they can certainly issue an executive order for all dreamers,no matter the situation.

It's unfair, like the article said, that ordinary citizens can't take advantage of same-sex immigration benefits. They should consider extending it. No, they should just extend it!

Well, at least I know I just have to marry a diplomat. Finally a loop hole in the system.
