Hi guys, crazy things have happened to me in the past month since I quit my job. But I did get arrested last night for domestic. I ended up hitting my 16 year old sister, who is the one I said likes to diss me and say negative things about my status, it got to the point when I just couldn't hold my anger with her anymore, over something not related to my status, but she sure as hell brought it up when the police came. Anyway I was taken to the police station, got a picture taken and finger printed. I have a court date later this month. I already told them I don't have an ssn. I am just wondering the procedure in court, if any one knows. Also what are the punishment, if any. Im at home right now, and it wasn't that serious of a fight. Im 23. will my status come up and how do I go about it.

Edited to add: I dont have money to get a lawyer, and she got a protective order against me as a result of me being arrested (only 3 days 13th to 16th), and being the "aggressor". yeah, I am too old for this bs, I was just fueled with anger. Hopefully I dont get a harsh sentence for this

plead not guilty.

get a lawyer if you could.

At best, ask your sister to drop the domestic violence charge. Ask your mom, your uncle etc to intervene and persuade your sister to drop the charge.

Try to reconcile with your sister. If this is your first time that your sister pressed charge against you, really try to reconcile with her. If she drops the charge, you'll be okay.

You will get a free lawyer if your domestic violence charge is considered a crime punishable by criminal law. A judge will determine this.

What state are you from?

I dont know. I will read the papers they gave me and get back to you on that.

okay the papers dont say anything about it. do I just call and ask for one? I dont know how to do this. My sister has a habit of calling the police during arguments, this is her third time, and the others weren't with me. Unfortunately they arrested me, the only DREAMER in the house. Everyone else has papers.

With all due respect but your sister is a dumb bitch. I dont know why your parents did not stop her from doing so. Parents must love all children equally. They should have stopped her.

Is it really ur sister? why would someone do this to their family? Try to ask your parents for help, lucky you your sister ain't 18 yet and still dependent on your parents. Then in the future, if anything happens to her, do the same thing back to her and just 10 times worse. what goes around, comes around. She ain't your family anymore, she's nothing after this.

Your sister sounds like a real b!tch. You still shouldn't have even attempted to hit her though. You know how these type of people react. They exaggerate everything for a dramatic effect. You should have just walked away with your anger. It's really the best thing to do. You don't need any of these black marks on your record. We need to be on our best behavior for the possibility of becoming legal one day. Show the damn hateful people that don't want us here that we are both productive and good for our society.

I wish you the best of luck!
