Everyday we wake up and feel so inadequate right? Some of us cant drive, we cant go to school affording it is tough, we cant travel and we're always looking over our shoulders. We look at our peers and think "Wow they have it so easy, their lives are so great" we'd give anything to have status and feel equal to the people we see in our everyday lives.

I used to feel like that a couple of months back. I recently got diagnosed with multiple sclerosis a disease where the immune system attacks the central nervous system and you could end up losing your ability to walk, move, talk, swallow etc. Talk about feeling inadequate. What life has taught me is that we should always live with gratitude in our hearts. No matter how bad you think you've got it, someone out there has ALWAYS got it worse. Think of the people who do have status but died by the age of 18. Think of the people who do have status but have incurable diseases or have lost a limb. Health is one of the greatest gifts a human being could possibly be given. Take a breather from your imaginary woes for a day and pay thanks to those things you do have. And yes I say imaginary because at the end of the day there are just some things money and American citizenship cannot buy.

This disease is incurable, there are treatments which you have to inject a few times a week, but even those arent cures. They just stop your immune system from attacking you. That's human life for you if you're not running after one thing then you're running after another. Learn to live day by day and be thankful for your body, mind and health

Yeah. I get a moment of clarity now and then and it keeps me scheming. The worst that could happen is deportation and that's not even too bad. Keep on living!

Wow, that's extremely true! Thank you for reminding us to be grateful for what we have.

I'm sorry about your multiple sclerosis. You're very brave and I really look up to you! You're an amazing person! Thanks again.

Thanks a lot for this I think about this everyday too. I am not afraid, nor do I feel sorry for my self. I feel like my situation has shaped my character. I am stronger because of it. You are though man and I will pray for your well being.
