I am almost 19 years old and when I leave this country, do I receive the 10 year ban or 3 year ban?

Seriously, this ban bullshit is ridicules!! How many of us would have already left if it wasn’t for this ban?

They tell us we don’t want you to stay but you cannot really leave either (unless you are ready to completely abandon the only life you know).

…so we stay and listen to the bullshit the politicians continue to feed us.

Thanks for the replies you guys!

All I can say now is FUCKKKKKK!!!

When I was 17 (almost 1 years old, I decided to move back to my country in order to avoid the 10 year ban, but I couldn't because I didn't had the money. Now that I have the money, I can move back to my home country, but the 10 year ban is making me feel helpless..

to be fair, that 10 year ban is only a technicality. I think it's fair to say that no matter what, we'd never be allowed to come back on a visa. I think the only exception would be people intending to come back because of family sponsorship.

^^^ Well, I think that as long as ur judged no more harshly than the other people from your county of citizenship it's fair enough.

If your country is part of the visa waiver program you are golden and would be able to travel freely if the ban is not implemented.

Do it if this is what you want,The information provided here is wrong that you have met the requirements for the 10 year bar,It would actually be the 3 year bar. When you reach 19 years or older you would then incur the 10 year bar.I would also heed 'thedream' mentioned.

Golden ?,That type of goose doesn't exist. The painful reality is that those whom overstay on VWP are pretty much in the worst position as those whom came over the US border illegally for several factors.

-They cannot adjust through US citizen immediate relatives[including spouses] if they have overstayed.

-They are barred permanently from the VWP program if they initially entered in on it.

I agree with you. I was responding to the post above mine which said the ban doesnt really matter. Well, it does matter and it is not only a technicality.

Probably a silly question, but how does the country place the ban on you if they haven't even noticed you've left the country? I mean if you pay for your own tickets and everything? It just seems to me that it would be a waste of time and money to even prove that you were overstayed. For instance my family was on a overstayed visa for nearly ten years but no one ever came up to them and told them to leave or even noticed them. Just wondering.
