I know maldef offers scholarships for students with no status, but this one in particular is targeted to Dream Act students activists anywhere in the country. I just thought I would share, good luck!=)

thanks for the info. but i've got a few questions.

(a) is the scholarship only intended towards the latino people or ANY dreamer ?
(b)any what do they mean exactly by dream act activist? i mean i do qualify for the dream act, but do i have to be an activist to qualify for this particular one?

thanks in advance

I'm pretty sure that it's for everyone, not just latinos. I'm gonna assume and say that you must've done some real activist work for the DREAM Act (ex. met with Senators, protest, etc).

just called the number i pulled off their website, too bad i dont qualify. First off, they are based in NY, and i reside in MD. But they were able to suggest that i should look on their website for the ones i could be eligible for.

Now, does any one in here knows any other scholarship programmes a dreamer like myself could be eligible for in the state of Md, or in the District (Washington, DC)? I reside in Md, but go to school in DC (University). And trust me, its such a pain in the as*s for the fact that its a private school and so expensive. Well, my dad's the one footing my tuition bill/ but i feel sorry for him and myself since am forced to skip a few semesters because of financial issues.

Hey, you welcome I'm glad to hear people would be applying. To answer some of your questions, as far as I'm concerned this scholarship is open to ALL dreamers in any state not just NY, I volunteer with this organization so that's why I posted this particular link, but I'm sure you can find it in google as well. In my opinion, I think this is a great opportunity, so even if you feel that you may not have been as involved with the campaign ( protest, rallies, meeting with senators, spreading awareness, helping out fellow dreamers and providing support...etc) simply apply because you never know and you don't lose anything by trying. And @greatdreamer you can also look at the maldef list of scholarships, most of them are open to dreamers in any state.

Has anyone already turn in the scholarship? I'm confused in the resume. what exactly do we have to put in the resume? I really don't have any experience.
