Should a PRI, PRD, or PAN candidate get elected as president?

I am for PAN for its tough stance on organized crime, which PRI permitted to flourish by not doing enough. Screw PRI. If a PRD candidate wins, I wonder what US-Mexico relations will be like.

I am pro-PAN for the same reasons you are, however PRI will win because it will make the most handsome First couple in Mexican History and people are stupid like that. That and while Mexicans put this front of being macho, are actually pussies who want crime to go back to the old days (no violence spilling over).

If PRI wins, people can forget about solving the organized crime problem.

You know what pisses me off? People blaming President Calderon for all the violence and deaths. I mean come on. He is not the one ordering the military to cut people's heads off. President Calderon is the good guy here.

Calderon is a drunk baffon. This fool has no knowledge whatsoever of how to establish an efficient strategy in dealing with rampant crime and marginalization in Mexican society, he assumes just throwing the military in there is going to solve the problem. But there are more deep rooted issues in effect here from 70 years of PRI rule and we all know that pretty boy fag is going to win, but my vote would go to Obrador. BTW I really hope Hank Rohn gets a bullet to the brain Mexico and most of Latin America is a fuckin oligarchy.

I am in favor of Calderon's strategy. How else will you combat the cartels now that they have powerful weapons? If Mexico ends the use of its military to combat organized crime, I can tell you that the perception that Mexico is full of corruption will be reinforced.

Yes, Mexico has other problems, but this crime problem needs to be addressed.

How about establishing a regulatory body that addresses money laundering activities within the country? Increased salary for agents working the borders (Where do you think the "powerful weapons" come from?) also increasing salaries for agents at the municipal and state levels. With such a shitty pay who wouldn't turn to organized crime and bribes to make ends meet. Some sort of judicial reform in the court system (it's a fuckin joke just watch "Presunto Culpable") which includes higher sentences for those convicted of murder. Harsher punishment for any government official working with or supplying organized crime with intel. The enactment of similar RICO laws like we have here in the United States. Legalization of Marihuana for recreational use under strict regulations and guidelines. Of course none of this will ever happen because they encroach on too many political interests and Calderon is the U.S.' little bitch. Mexico IS full of corruption and those "other problems" are the root of this endemic. People act like if drug cartels are a new occurrence, they've always had drugs, weapons, and money at their disposal and all the violence going on now is just a reaction to Calderon's retarded strategy.

Mhzzz Awesome points.

I totally agree with you that those reforms are needed. But, I think it's also too late to say that it is time to remove the military from the streets when it is evident that the cartels are still strong. That is a bad idea right now. Remove the military once you have created a strong and incorruptible police force.

Don't get me wrong. I don't agree with PAN on every issue. Considering that PAN is a pro-business party, it does expose Mexico to exploitation by foreign, especially American, companies. Hence, I would love to see how the US would react to a "leftist" president. Oh I would love to see that!

Yeah I see what you mean and they would react with a coup.

Oh and then chaos and all hell would break loose.

Could you picture Romney as President of the US and Obrador as President of Mexico. ugggggggggggggggllllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Especially with Romney's rhetoric of "I wouldn't apologize for the US."

Hijo de su santa madre. How many innocent people died in Latin America during the Cold War because the US was bent on preventing the propagation of communism? And this jerk has the NERVE to say that he would not apologize for America's power.

However, do you think the Mexican military would participate in the coup???????????

I doubt it man. I have a feeling that the majority of Mexicans would be extremely pissed off if the US covertly or overtly supported an insurgency to remove a person fairly elected as president. I think the military would be more aligned with the elected president . . .

For some reason, I think Obrador does have a good chance at becoming president. I think Obrador would literally obliterate the PRI pretty boy in a debate.
