My brother got tired of waiting and he is going back to Mexico, so I'm gonna be by myself now. The only problem is that where I'm currently living its pretty hard to find a job even for people who are here legally. I have a job but I dont even make a living wage so Im pretty sure I wont be able to pay even for a cheap apartment. I was thinking of moving with my sister in Cali, but she lives in Santa Maria but rent and everything else is just too expensive over there. Can you guys give me some ideas of where I could move to where there are jobs, not too expensive, and are immigrant friendly? I heard good things of Austin, Texas. Any dreamers here from Austin?

Texas is pretty chill to live, I have to move to Austin in a few months if I find a way around the stupid checkpoint LOL but why would you live Cali? Aren't they gonna pass that new law where you could get work permit?

Its only a proposal and to my understanding you have to have 4 years of residency to qualify. I just hate that everything is so expensive over there

Well I'm a waiter right now and I've only really had experience working in restaurants and a fast food place.

Well see the thing is that even getting a job at a mcdonalds will be troublesome, but the thing is getting to know people that could get you working. If not well there is the option of cleaning homes or babysitting
