I personally don't might joining the military to gain citizenship, however, I'm 100% against the ARMS Act and here is why.

Quote:
"First they came for the Jews and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for the Communists and I did not speak out because I was not a Communist.

Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me."
First they excluded people who are 30 years or older, I didn't care because I'm only 21.

Then they excluded people who are college educated, If I don't speak up this time, there won't be anyone left to speak out for me when they change the minimum entry age from 16 to 8.

The reason why DA is still alive today is because there are just too many of us and can't be ignore. We need to be united; we don't want our number to be shrink. I think we are stronger when we are united on one bill which is the Dream Act.

Many people may argue that "legalizing some of us is better than none of us". Rember our goal is not to legalize the 5% of us, we need to at least legalize 90% of us.

I feel angry after reading everyone's comments on ARMS Act. Republicans had successfully split Dreamers into two group and we are pointing guns at our own people.

I call on everyone in DAP to oppose the ARMS ACT.

I think the major reason why college educated are being left out is because once we become USC we are at a higher rate of voting during an election in comparison to other groups. Higher education means better understanding of how politics works. Both the Democrats and Republicans knows this, and the Democratic party knows that the majority of us will vote for them. In my opinion this country considers higher education are for the privileged, and those who can't afford it......tough luck. College educated people came out in numbers in 2008, and guess who most of them voted for?

Nice thought but it has been proven in this board that given the chance some dreamers will sell their mothers for a green card. Following your logic what we all should be really fighting for is CIR. But ask around how many dreamers think the construction workers and agricultural laborers deserve a green card as much as them. Republicans know that by giving us a little window they can close the door. Just look at the way the current green card holders talk about illegal immigrants.

Just because you're to much of a little bitch to sign up for the military doesn't mean the rest of us are. We always have the option of returning to our homelands.

That's true. But knowing what we go through in this country without proper documents, I wouldn't do it to my children. Its a psychological nightmare I tell you.

Signing up for the military doesn't necessarily mean that you're in right away. Do you even know how the process goes?

You have to understand that some people are just not mentally and physically prepare for the military. I don't want to leave those people behind, it's just unfair for them.

Here's what I know about joining the military. You sign up and there's a test you take. Base on that test you can determine which category you can enter. After you have proven your competency skill level there are training sessions that you do before boot camp plus the training you do yourself...running, gym, etc.
Then you're off to boot camp where you have to do the final crucible.
