This just keeps getting better and better.

Quote:
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) endorsed Mitt Romney on Wednesday, and he has already picked out who he wants to see in the second spot on the ticket.

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fl.) would be the best VP pick, Bush told the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

"He is the best orator of American politics today, a good family man," Bush said. "He is not only a consistent conservative, but he has managed to find a way to communicate a conservative message full of hope and optimism." He described Rubio as "dynamic, joyful, disciplined and principled."

The freshman senator has not endorsed a candidate, and he insists he will stay neutral until Republicans choose a nominee. He is a Tea Party favorite, and his name has been tossed around as a potential VP pick. Newt Gingrich threw out the possibility of getting Rubio on his ticket just before the Florida primary.

Rubio has repeatedly said that he does not want to be vice president, but the speculation hasn't stopped.

I think that a Romney/Rubio ticket if Romney ends up being the Republican nominee will mean that Obama will lose the 2012 elections, no doubt!

Romney has ties to Mexico considering that his father was born there and he has relatives there, and Rubio being the child of Cuban immigrants will definitely attract a lot of Hispanic voters. Obama definitely needs to step up on this Dream Act situation, stop taking people for granted and failing to keep promises; if not, Hispanic voters have nothing to lose voting for a Romney/Rubio ticket over Obama, and he desperately needs those votes in order to win.

I'd say "no." However, it's still undeniable that the minority vote is important in order for Obama to win.

Marco Rubio would not be on the GOP's Vice-President ticket, he literally is a nobody in congress, he has done absolutely nothing in congress of any meaning. He actually co-sponsored the Blunt amendment lol. Thats really bad for him.

Bad news this for Obama. He risks losing hispanic voters to clown Romney if indeed Rubio is picked as his running mate. Good news for DA???? Think about it...now the only sure fire way Obama can seal the hispanic vote would be by passing DA before the elections.

Lol. Romney has been alienating the Hispanic Vote like no other candidate. If he picked Rubio for his running mate, that would mean absolutely nothing. Obama will get the Hispanic vote regardless, with all the anti-immigrant laws passed by GOP controlled states, no person of Hispanic ethnicity would vote for Romney.

I have to agree with 2Face, if Romney/Rubio are on a presidential ticket together, Obama will lose some Hispanic voters' support. Romney will change his tone and put a lot of focus on Obama's record deportations that have split families, a situation that has really affected a lot of people in the Latino community. Just as a lot of African Americans voted for Obama because they related better to him than McCain, believe me with Rubio on the ticket and Romney's family history in Mexico, a good number of Hispanic voters will vote for a Romney/Rubio ticket.

Obama needs to push for this Dream Act and get it done if not, people may change their minds and vote for someone else.

Haha, lets see here. First, Rubio's parents were illegal immigrants from Cuba. Second, Romney has alienated so much hispanics with his party line rhetoric that even with the GOP'ers consider him unsuitable.. This election comes down to economics really.

I hope he does write a good alternative that can be talked about across party lines. Get Durbin to co-author this and call it a bill.

And lets be honest. What did Obama do in congress before he ran?

And personally, if I were a Republican I would go with Luis Fortuno of Puerto Rico. A tea party governor of another big hispanic block.
