^That was before I watched the video. But, that was it? I was expecting something else. I was expecting for him to say. "Rubio is a bad choice for Romney because he is advocating amnesty and open borders. Illegals should just self-deport."

Guys, I know the guy has been an absolute prick. But, (1) he says that Romney should consider Rubio as a running mate. (2) He says that whatever Rubio presents should refurbish the rule of law and respect the American dream and the reasons that we're here." Maybe, I am taking it out of context.

Is it me, or does he come across as kind of soft? Also, Pearce is in the background. Have any of you watched the Senate hearing on the Constitutionality of Arizona's immigration law? Pearcewas slammed by Durbin. And, Pearce, correct if I am wrong, suggested that exceptions/relief? should be provided for us but not through the DREAM Act because it is "faulty" policy that could ALSO lead to the legalization of undocumented criminals . . .

I don't know. I am fucking confused. It's kind of hard to believe that King comes across kind of soft or flexible on the issue. . . Or is it just my blind optimism?

He did seem a bit more flexible but he still seems as if he would oppose it. he personally spoke two weeks ago just blasting the law crazily. But who knows, anything could happen and Rep King should be targeted, even though he belongs to the tea party wing of the party.

Yeah, I was like WTF? Didn't he say something negative in an article a few days ago?

Yes he did, I still think he's against it but he's trying to not piss off Rubio and Romney. The whole "rule of law" thing still suggests he's being a bit restrictionist in terms of immigration reform discourse. Either way it should be interesting as hell to see how the house repubs vote, if I see them going for this, then this has a STRONG chance of passing. If not, then it's up to prayer y'all.

Found it. Yeah, he did say something really fucked up and politically cynical:

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/20/us...dream-act.html

Yeah, it will be interesting to see how House and Senate Repubs. respond to Rubio's arguments. Shit is going to be hilarious. hahahahaha I am going to love it when Rubio argues with Sessions, who will likely lead the charge against it.

Yep, there are always a few key words that can be used to target one's political orientation on the immigration spectrum and when one speaks "rule of law" every effing day you know you fall on the immigration restrictionism end of the spectrum.

I think one thing the movement def needs to target is to stop the immigration discourse from leaning far too rightwards. The DA keeps getting more conservative year by year and we should await Rubio's proposal, but if even this fails to pass muster, we just need to demand the president to sign this into executive order in his second term under wider and more expansive terms akin to how the proposal was shaped in the early 2000s. I think the movement will certainly head in that direction if the Rubio proposal bill fails and i think if that happens Obama will feel an almost moral imperative to just force USCIS to adopt the changes, along with DHS. But yes one step at a time and it will be entertaining, no classic, to see the battles on the floor. I hope CSPAN carries it out online.
