Hi Everyone,
Thank you for posting so many great ideas, tips, and tools to help ourselves.

I met someone very special and we are both in love. He and I plan on getting marry soon, but I been thinking of the process that it will entail for him to sponsor me, and it scares me. Does anyone here has married to a U.S. citizen? How was the process like? Did you needed to wait in your native country to get a visa, and to file the paper work?

I have been here since I was 8 years old and entered without inspection.

Any help will be greatly appreaciate.

My best advice is. Start making a baby bro. Otherwise, prepare for the 10 year ban outside the US.

If you entered without inspection, you can't adjust status within the united states.

I would disregard anything Tacvbo has mentioned......

I believe there is a member on here who is currently going through the process of adjusting with the appropriate waiver if you entered without inspection. You'll definitely have to return for any process to finalize unless under 245i or a parent is under 245i.I would suggest getting a lawyer that specializes in immigration I-601 waivers assuming the marriage is *bona-fide*.The process will be quite difficult considering the time and patience needed.I'd also suggest heading to Immigrate2us.net for further inquiry on what is needed as there are more situations covered over there that can showcase how to prove "Extreme Hardship" through spouses for a successful approval.

1.There are people here married to US citizens and have Entered Without Inspection.

2.The process for most thus far that I've seen people mention are approvals including the waiver.

3.You don't have to wait in your country in question for the visa until when the USCIS gives further detail to do so via consular interview of I-601 and how to apply. You don't have to leave the US to file the paperwork but in order to complete the paperwork successfully you are required to be abroad in you country of citizenship to have the process approved if EWI.

As far as I know there is no way you can avoid the 3-10 year ban outside of the country unless you have babies of your spouse has a medical condition. Remember he is an EWI.

she is, damm sometimes you want to laugh at how retarded the whole system is, but then rmember you're stuck in it, and can only think how sad that shit is that you have to deal with that, sorry to say but i think tacvbo is on the money with this one

chessmaster remember thats just 1 guy, for 1 approved theres 20 denied, you can get lucky with it, but remember its up to whoever gives you the date, you could always give it your best shot and if you're denied just bring that point up, plus i think since ur a girl marrying a USC they get much better treatment than guys bc they know a USC will complain and will raise hell about it and is able to support you more reliably than a girl USC

I´m going through this right now. I EWI´d and had my waiver appt a few days ago. Lucky you though there are big changes coming. Next month they are starting Lockbox filing for waivers so that you only mail your waiver as opposed to having to go directly to the consulate to turn the waiver in. Another change is not having to leave the country while your waiver is being adjucticated. So it´s good for you that you´re waiting. I was not so lucky. Good Luck Though!!

Luck has nothing to do with meeting the criteria. The statistics in question just vary widely on embassy and how well one's case is prepared.
