Hello,

I would like to know if Dreamers are going to be able to travel (outside the US). I want to go to Australia with my girlfriend for Christmas. Do you guys know anything about this? thanks!

That hasn't been decided yet given what was said on the USCIS conference call yesterday.

It's still under consideration

Tbh, I probably won't take that chance and stay put until I get permanent residency (if that ever happens)

So, is this still being decided within DHS?

Yes. We should get a definitive answer by the time we need to apply. Someone did advocate on behalf of DREAMers who will work for multinational corporations and need to travel for their jobs. I couldn't tell if the argument had any affect though.

It'd be awesome to get to travel abroad but think about it. They were very reluctant to give undocumented youth permission to even work in the first place, do you really think they're really gonna let us go in and out of the country when we're STILL undocumented? We're not even supposed to be here! We should all just be happy to get work permits, and the privilege to travel abroad should only be a bonus- don't think we're entitled to it for whatever reason.
