First I'd like to leave very clear that I hate selfishness, jealousy or anything of that nature but ever since the deferred action was implemented I seen several "dreamers" that I know of trying to cheat the system already. Yesterday I was talking to a dude that came here when he was 14, dropped out of high school on his first year, and has a baby already. He was telling me that he'll just enroll back in school just to apply for the deferred action and get a better job. His family has money so there was no fkn excuse for him to leave HS and not go to college. Now he has a lawyer telling him that he can apply for this by just enrolling back in school while he's in the process and tell DHS that he dropped out of HS when he was 15 because of "economic hardship". Sorry but this kind of BS pisses me off!!! Why? Because there are those of us who went thru sweat, blood, and tears for this opportunity and now we have these kind of fkn loser assholes trying to cheat the system. Sorry for sounding selfish but this shit gets on my fkn nerves . Just wanted to vent.

What do we lose from them getting EADs though? In the end of the day we'll still High school diplomas or college degrees. Even with an EAD, a dropout is a dropout in the job market.

I hate people like that too. These people will never amount to anything really. Like the person above said.

Good luck with him getting a job with no education, or even a high school degree. Getting a job is fucking hard right now.

His lack of character will prevent him from ever climbing the latter of society.

In other words, fuck him!

Honestly, I think that individuals in this situation will no qualify and will not be granted deferred action. I think that is why the memo states the date, it clearly states must have been in the US or have a diploma, GED already or be in school. I think the rules will detail that those younger than 16, still in school, will be able to apply once you turn 16. For those that have GED, they will be able to apply and for those out of school with no diploma or GED will not be able to apply. I don't think it is going to be as easy as going back to school. For children that will be in the same situation lets say 10 years from now will not be able to apply at all because they where not in the US on the date on June 15, 2012.

I have had a person tell me they are going to buy a GED, yeah I doubt it will be that easy but all that will happen is they will slow down the process for those of us that genuinely deserve it and qualify but they will not be approved.

According to the memo,I think there is enough latitude for the person to qualify actually because it states.
Quote:
Currently be in school, have graduated from high school, have obtained a general education development certificate, or are honorably discharged veterans of the Coast Guard or Armed Forces of the United States;
It doesn't say anything about that being a requirement by June 15th,2012 that the person must meet that particular requirement.He simply have to just be in school to qualify.Why he dropped out I have no idea but according to the law he qualifies!

Well your situation is completely understandable and you would've kept on going if you had the resources and the documentation but this guy was 15 when he dropped out and just plans to get deferred action to apply at Starbucks lol

lol dont get me wrong but working at Starbucks is kinda better than my job.
Nothing beats serving coffee to a hot college chick. Looking all cute with their macbook sippin on caramel frap'.. HAHA

but yea back to your subject. I feel that he's desperate enough to cheat due to the fact that he has a kid and all. Gotta support the child somehow. But let me know if with the Deferred action and he's still fucking up with his life... then ill hate him for that.

how old are you? because you're naive if believe that there is justice in this world.

the way that we were brought to this country isn't exactly "fair" compared to what other immigrants had to go through in order to settle in this country but we got really lucky this time..
