I've chosen that I'm a citizen for tuition purposes in my college application. Will that affect my deferred action process?

Doubt it, but do not do that! It can bring you trouble of other sorts in the future.

We're not sure of at the moment. This may be considered a form of fraud but the EAD states that you had to have been convicted of it.

Hopefully Aug.1 will tell us

When I spoke to my attorney she made it a point to mention that if you are not a citizen you should never tell anyone you are one. Doing so could bar you from ever becoming one.
With that said, I am not sure that USCIS will look at your listed status on your college records.
But you are kind of stuck with it because getting it corrected would probably cause big trouble for you at your college.

What if USCIS call your college to verify your transcript and find out your fraud? You'll be in big trouble if they do.

It is going to happen during the background check. Didn't someone mention that the background check takes up to months? It is going to be very detailed.

I am no attorney but I think that there is certain student information that is protected and the school is not allowed to share without your consent .. what about just using other types of records to show your presence and that way not involve the school if you did that and are afraid it may affect you.

maybe this question will be cleared up on Aug 1st or Aug 15th when more information is released, for now we are just speculating.

Going back to fix it is too little too late

I would wait until Aug. 1st

We don't know if this would be considered a form of fraud or if this is something that can be overlooked (since you did just do this to attend school and get a better education; and it's also something you wouldn't have to do if you werent in this situation)

Fingers crossed

We all know claiming falsely claiming US Citizenship is the death knell for any immigration benefit and there are no waivers when it is done after the 1996 immigration laws.If I'm not mistaken the DACA regulations seem to be most forgiving on entry procedure but not when it comes to enforceable regulations on US soil.
