Hello Fellow Dreamers, I've just been on a hectic schedule and I am actually working on a paper as we speak. You see I've been working as a freelance writer and well, I've been getting tons of assignments left and right. And now I return to the forums for a peek on the proceedings of Deffered Action. But I find the forum is so sparingly about giving me a clue. I see some excitement over August 1st. What is that about? I have my papers ready and I though the process didn't begin until the 15th of this month. Can anyone, please update me on what's going on? Or point me into the right thread ?

August 1st, USCIS is supposed to announce the procedure that will be followed for people to apply, this procedure would go in effect on August 15th.

More information may be found in the following website:

It is the perception of the Dreamers that DHS will release guidelines on August 1st for the application which is to be released on the 15th.

As you can see, no guidelines have been released yet. But if this is true, more details should be out later on in the day.

However, I would like to point out that the website above may not have the most updated information, most of the information has been compiled based on advice from legitimate immigration lawyers on what kind of documents would be good to have ready, but USCIS has not officially listed at the time of this post what they will be requiring yet.

Most of the lawyers I have talked with are basing their assumptions on other comparable processes in existence, in particular established processes for TPS applicants, which we are not, and ours will most likely be slightly different.

It's just after midnight. I don't really think that there is anyone awake and posting things to the USCIS website over in DC :P
