Hopefully this will stop the never ending Birth Certificate Translation Thread

Ok hopefully this will clear the MANY Questions i keep getting about this. AGAIN it does not have to look like an EXACT translation of the documents with the stamps and all that, as long as you translate the most importat parts like your names, parents name and stuff like that i have attach one of MANY samples but i just simply do not have time to sit here and attach every sample. Now this looks english sample looks very similar to the original documents but only because i get pay to translate documents and i always like them to look as similar as posible.

AGAIN if you have a VALID passport (not your visa) again VALID not expires passport YOU DO NOT have to worry about translating this document.
Also this attachment will show you the certified part of the translation and it will also show you the order in which this should go. ALWAYS Translation first page, Certificate Second page and COPY(Color Copy) of your birth certificate page 3.

Some birth certificate from middle eastern countries, sometimes the certification is done in the same page as the translation that is also ok. I deal with alot of latin america Countries so i always do certification on a separate page.

So if you have an expired US Tourist Visa you should get your birth certificate translated?
I thought the visa would suffice given that it has your dob and thumb print.

AGAIN if your VISA is expired its no good, what you are essentially doing its identifying you to USCIS and evidencing from what country you are from by giving them an official document from your country.

Passport from your country and birth certificate are what USCIS takes as OFFICIAL IDENTIFICATIONS.

so wait, why do we even need a birth certificate again?

I wasn't sure if I should have my birth certificate translated given that I do not have a Mexican passport, but now that I know this I will get it done before the 15th.

Because you are showing them your date of birth with an official document from the country you are from.

I translated mine yesterday -- it looks very professional, following the same format as the original, like the one you presented.

txgirl, your contribution is appreciated, but it won't stop the never-ending birth certificate translation threads. As a matter of fact, I predict 5 of those today, and at least 50 on August 15. Try not to pull your hair out, please. I'll be trying the same thing. xD

My thoughts exactly, i guess people are assuming USCIS should just take their word for certain things.

I have an expired Mexican passport that I got here few years ago. Can I send them a copy of it? It's got English and Spanish already
