Leave it blank, unless you want it sent to a different address under the care of a different person.

I think you should write your name on it since it goes under mailing address. Because everytime i am sent a package your name is always wrote on it.

In care of = C/O

Unless you live with someone who's not directly related to you, leave it blank.

Doesn't really matter unless the mailman is being overly zealous.

Say you live in an apartment and the mailbox is in one area with other mailboxes. Usually they have some sort of identifier in the back panel of the mailbox. A name that is registered to the address. So if your roommate is the person who's name is identified, then in care of your roommate's name would make sense.

Like you wouldn't expect mail addressed to xxx Chang if the registered name is xxx Johnson. It's just a way for them to identify. But they don't really care whose name is on there really.

A more logical usage of in care would be something like

In care of "abc nursing care"
Your name
Address
Etc.

Since many people share the same address.

So put in care of your own name if you feel like. Or don't. I've been approved both ways.

Typically, if you have someone like a guardian or parent who receives mail. That's the name of the person. I would put your name, just make sure your name reflects on your mailbox or the post office is aware.
