Let's share our experiences, thoughts, inquiries about those who are sending their applications without the aid of lawyers.

Also, anyone from Chicago sending their own application, http://latinospro.org/ is offering to review your application before you send it for $75 (They are accredited by the Board of Immigration Appeals, a part of the Department of Justice and the highest immigration court in the United States).

Definitely beats having a lawyer submitting your application for $500+

I did it all myself. Here's my list of advice.

*Take your time. Read through all the forms and instructions. Double-check. Have family check over the application as well. They may catch something you don't.
*Ask questions. If you have any doubts, most likely you can find an answer on DAP. Alternatively you can call USCIS.
*Create a cover page and a table of contents. This will help the agent better understand your documents. Look on the forums for samples.
*Balance your evidence. You don't want to send too little evidence, but don't overload them. When in doubt though, it's better to have more than less.
*You may want to consult a lawyer if your case is especially complicated.
*Remember to have everything when you send in your application. You may not have a second chance. I-821D, I-765, I-765WS, evidence, $465 check/money order (it can be one or two), 2 passport photos.

Good luck to all!

I thought everything was generally very easy. I finished 3 forms in about 30 minutes times on 8/14.

I've filed for AOS, Naturalization and misc. process for family over the years and have found these things pretty self explanatory.

I would suggest to try to be as organized as possible I've filed something similar to this for a family member for Temp. Residency and USCIS can be very tricky to anything.

Do not open your case to doubt, have every corner covered, ie. continuous residence, in my experience they will look into this the most because its the easiest way to weaken a case.

Awesome! Anybody know if there's something like this in NYC. Or do lawyers let us pay less than 100 bucks just for a review of a seemingly clean case??
