country of birth?! Hong kong dreamers HELP!

On the application, what should we put on "country of birth"? I was born before 1997, should I put Great Britain or China?

and what should i put for country of citizenship? british or chinese since we have both?

I put Hong Kong.

And I asked my friend who just got her green card, she said she put HK too. It said HK on my VISA as well.

On country of birth and country of citizenship? What about city/town/village of birth?

Shouldn't we put Hong Kong on the city of birth since Hong Kong is considered as city?

it says british, but the hong kong one says Chinese and the british one says British
