Hey everyone. Well I mailed my application for the deferred action on the 17th (friday)
And figured that they would be open on Saturday ( the 18th).
So I went ahead and payed for express mail.

It seems that they are closed on Saturdays and now my application is sitting somewhere in a Chicago post office.

Also, It will take five days, if not retrieved it will be mailed back to me.
The thing is, I doubt they will pick it up.
What should I do?
Any advice?

UPDATE: Hey again everyone. Just wanted to say that even though my application wasn't received on Saturday morning (cause it was closed), It did get there (chicago) today(Monday 20th) .
It was signed by someone called J.C....anyway, just in case anyone else was in my predicament. I wanted to update the good news.

This should be the case but when you call and talk to an actual person they will tell you that it will not be redelivered unless USCIS puts in a request for redelivery. Or if they go pick it up with the notice they were left on Saturday. What pisses me off about this is that I specifically told the guy at the post office to have it delivered on Monday instead of Saturday because I knew it was going to be closed.

I have a feeling you sent it on Friday before 10:30 am(the morning cut off times) and did not waive the signature proof.

Just call the post office it is located in since you do have the tracking number.

I sent mine Friday at 9 am and waived the signature Proof of delivery, yet I still got it since good ol' J. Lo was waiting for packages that shift. It was received at 11:30 am at Arizona office.

Don't worry. Mine was in same situation. I mailed on Friday by USPS express. It's been 'Notice is left' until this afternoon. I just received delivery confirmation email from usps. The status was not updated even though it was delivered before noon. So do not worry, they will deliver it today. If status won't be updated until late afternoon, you'd better contact usps to schedule for redlivering.
