G-1145 Confirmation is NOT Delivery Confirmation

Like the title says, I've seen a few people on the forums get confused with this.

If your package has arrived at the Lockbox and the tracking page shows it has been signed off and delivered, then you received DELIVERY confirmation that your package is there. This does not mean USCIS has sent your application to a service center.

If you have received a G-1145 notification (i.e., e-mail or text), then that it is a G-1145 confirmation. This e-mail or text will say that your application has been routed to a service center and explains that you will receive a letter with a receipt number in 7-10 days.

Please don't confuse the two. It can get a little frustrating sometimes to read that someone has gotten confirmation, only for them to later say it was just delivered.

I don't understand all the hype of they have received your package. We all going to send it and we will ALL (hopefully) going to get a confirmation that they have received our package. That doesn't mean ANYTHING significant.

People should post thread when they had been accepted and received their ssn.

I don't mind it. I think it's helpful to know that USCIS is moving along and working on our applications.

lol, some people are really in a hurry so anything to atleast seem like their case is moving forward gives them a high.

I believe it is a significant step. At least your know someone is looking at it, or has put it in a file to be reviewed!

I agree with you. I've seen some people already put they received their letter which of course they haven't. Looks as if they are getting mixed up with the G-1145 confirmation.
