Yeah,since you were amongst the 1st set of applicants this is expected.I would also expect to get your biometrics appointment very soon after.

wow, how are you feeling? untill the next letter you can't be deported unless you do something stupid. you are legal now.

Application filled out by - Myself (feeling like a bad ass lawyer, haha)
App Sent: 8/15/2012 USCIS Dallas Lockbox USPS overnighted that baby fast! Received: 8/16
I-797c received on 8/27 Biometric appointment on 9/17 (done on 9/13)

APPROVED OCT 14

I'm not legal, and yes certainly it does not give me any right. What it does give me is hope, that everything is going okay with my application as of right now.

Yeah I just wanted to clarify that it doesn't give you legal status as of yet. Technically we will still be illegal lol but with work permits
