Question for those who are Visa overstays and who came here as very young children (ie no passport of their own)....

My B2 and i94 are part of my moms original passport when we entered into the country. I was too young and did not have a passport.

Fast forward a few years later, i went to my countries embassy in my state and got a passport of mine made. I always renew this passport (next renewal set to 2016) however its not the one i used to enter the country.

1) Should i include this "new" passport for identification along with the birth certificate? (i am ofcourse including the other passport with B2 and i94...but obviously the passport numbers wont match since they are two different ones).

2) Should i play it safe and not include this one but some other type of photo ID?

Nothing safe to play here! you have to include your current passport that's all they care about if you have other govt issued ID you can also use it..

I sent a copy my mother's passport (first page with her picture, page I was written in, and the page with the visa stamp). In addition I also sent my current, valid passport copy.

The reason I included the first page with my mother's name and picture was to establish the relationship of whose passport I was written in, but maybe it wasn't needed.

Sounds good! Thanks!

@swim19 - doubt it will be a problem for you either way. There is some act stated in the instruction guides that say they are not allowed to use the info for enforcement purposes that extend to family (unless there is a threat)

By the way, kind of unrelated. Did any of you guys buy a Money Order from USPS? With a credit card? Do they check ID or did they give you any problems when trying to get $465? Thanks.

You can't get money orders with a credit card. It has to be a debit card or cash. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

They didn't check ID for my debit card.

I just copied the pages that had my picture, bio, and visa that was inside my mom's passport, and my current passport. I felt the original passport would help show proof of age as well as initial entry
