Hello Everyone
I shipped my package via USPS. I fear my package might be lost. I sent it on the 21st the last update the post office has is that it left a sort facility in Coppell TX on the 23rd and was supposed to go to a sorting facility in Lewisville before being sent to the USCIS office. No other information is available. Not even a delivery attempt. It was supposed to be delivered to the USCIS office in Lewisville location on the 25th. I’m considering resending another package via UPS. What if I send another package and then the post office finds the first package and delivers’ it. Will it be problem for having sent 2 packages?

Call USPS, you have a tracking number and all the info, I suspect that their system just didn't update yet.

Good luck!

I called them and the only thing they tell me is that they are gonna investigate it.

Give it time, delays occur within their infrastructure.

I had a similar problem. It was VERY weird, but from what I hear, USPS tracking has a reputation of being unreliable.

My packet was sent to Phoenix on the 20th (Monday) and I was told it would be delivered (guaranteed) by the following day the 21st (Tuesday). Well being the person that I am, I was constantly checking the status of it on Tuesday, via online tracking. I saw no update what so ever. I figured they probably didn't get it in time to deliver it on Tuesday. Well, come Wednesday, I again spent several minutes checking through out the day. I got a new notification that day, on Wednesday, that it was "finished sorting", which usually means it is ready for delivery. So I checked again at night, and the status had not changed. I feared that it might have been forgotten, or even worse lost.

But come Thursday (3 days after the guarantee delivery date), I was looking up ways to get a refund since they didn't deliver my package on the day they said they would. Well here is the weird part. I check my package status again, and I noticed that they ACTUALLY delivered it on the 21st at around 10 AM, signed by the infamous J. LOPEZ. I was relieved to find out.

However, it was definitely weird that even though they said eventually that it was delivered on the 21st, they gave me another update a few days, saying it was being 'sorted', when it was technically already delivered. Ok, hopefully I didn't confuse you. But what I am trying to say is, just wait a few more days. You could be going through the same thing I went through. If you don't see a delivered status by the 29th, definitely give them a call. Hope this helps.

I agree with you. Although I called USPS the next day a few hours after the "delivery time" and they had it but nothing was online. So people should just call to confirm.

My suggestion is that its your future in the line so keep calling and don't submit a duplicate until you make sure it's "lost". In that case, (like 2 weeks from now), get your refund and I call USCIS to explain the situation and see what they say too. GOOD LUCK =]

There is a malfunction in the tracking system. I ship out items everyday but most of the time is ok. There hasn't been an instance in which USPS has lost a package within the US, and I have been shipping items for 5 years. The only time they lost a package twice, was when I shipped items internationally. Even international tracking is bad.

What I sell on eBay and use USPS priority mail and express. Their tracking system is among the best.
