Even if the dream act is passed, the republicans will never never respect latinos. They will find ways of diesnfranchising, alienating, and destroying the reputation of latinos anywhere. An example is the racist incidents at the Republican National Convention yesterday,

“GOP attendee ejected for throwing nuts at African American CNN camera woman + saying ‘This is how we feed animals.’”

It's just something that will never change.

Some people just feel inferior and in return lash out and try to oppress someone else.
Some people no matter what they do, don't have the will power, the commitment or just talent to overcome their situation and succeed. And that just rubs people the wrong way.

I don't get why those old Republicans are so racist. It has to stop. We are all equal. Black, Hispanics, Asians, etc... We are all human beings.

Maybe but who cares though? All Latinos are apart of affirmative action and have an easier time getting into college, grad school and many benefits later on in life. All you guys need to do is take advantage of the way the education system is set up and let your success do the talking.

They just see us as house cleaners, maids, farmers, people who tend to their prized horses/animals, french fry fryer, construction workers and so on and so forth.

Who cares who they respect. It is their loss as Democrats will continue to have a huge advantage of Hispanics which will soon be a majority in the USA. Minorities and Females also vote Democrats.

They are going to go extinct as a powerful political party if they don't change their immigration stance, especially towards the DREAM Act.

Equality means nothing to them, they're all about dominating and oppressing minorities. Obama better stay in office. Republicans didn't even mention or discuss any immigration topics in the Republican National Convention.
