So once we receive our work permit and SSN, will we be able to enlist in the military?

No.
You need a change in your lawful status.
Only congress can change this with a change to the INA.
DACA only puts you in the system as Unlawful, counts you, starts deportation, then automatically stops it, and gives you an EAD.

If anyone you'll know the answer to this question. How are you supposed to present a military discharge yet it's illegal for us to join the military...?

I can't think of a scenario where you would be granted lawful status and enjoy the benefits of military service.

One very unusual case might be someone that was a LPR(Legal perm. Res.) and failed to re-new their cards and are now out of status and were in the military during that time.

Other than that unless you had lawful permanent status and somehow you caused this to be revoked, I don't see any other way.

Maybe someone can shine in.

That is true.

But just from my recollection(correct me if I am wrong):
Bush signed the Executive Order soon after 2001,2002ish to declare 'Hostilities' ie. 'War'
This allowed for expedited processing of 'active duty' members or recently discharged members.

If you did not naturalize or left the military and therefore fell out of benefit, and then subsequently lost your lawful status, there is a weird way you can fall into this category.

I am not educated as much in this topic, so any input from anyone else would be appreciated.

You better drop your military plans if Romney miraculously manages to win.

A fellow DREAMer said it best when he said we will soon be "LEGAL ILLEGALS"

After DACA we will still be undocumented, except we'll have an ID and work permit

That's what confuses me. How are we still going to be undocumented if we have a ssn and an ID? Wouldn't we be in the system? We are not "illegal" if we have a real ssn and an ID. Good thing I'm going back to Mexico after the two years.
