I am a bit worried about my application because I have not heard anything about my application in 3 weeks. I filled out my application with the help of FIEL Houston. I did not know about the form G-1145, and FIEL did not include it in the application. The only way to know if my application was delivered is if get the delivery confirmation slip or if I check to see if my money order has been cashed. I am worried that my application may have been rejected/returned, and may have been lost somewhere. What I want to ask is if my application was rejected/returned would they have cashed the money order? As of right now my money order has not been cashed. I would appreciate it if anyone could give me any suggestions.

Call the USPS and ask them what happened to your package. They will start an investigation if it did get lost.

Thank you for replying. The problem with your suggestion is that FIEL sent the package so I do not know what they used to send the application. I would still like to know if the people who had their application returned had their checks/money orders cashed before receiving their application or after resending their application. The only response I get from FIEL is that they mailed my application. I'm thinking that I should wait at least another week and then send a second application. This time I'll do everything and include the G-1145 form.

That's exactly why I decided to mail it out myself, and not have my lawyer send it out. That way I could control exactly how & when it got sent out, and I could track my package myself.

If it hasn't gone out already, I would tell your lawyer that you want your documents back so you can mail it out yourself. Just make sure you mail it out to the right place!
