Hello Guys,
I am so glad I could find something, where I can talk about my issue. Not that I plan
to bore people, but would really appreciate all suggestions.
So, I came here on a student Visa F1, and after 1yr of school, couldn't pay my fees.
That was 3years back. I don't want to go back home without fixing my stuff here, cause god only knows how much brain damage i went through, to come here. I want to be legal here and fix my papers and then go see my family, whom I haven't seen in 4yrs. I have spoken to a zillion lawyers and they haven't been of much help.
What do you guys think are the options for me?
Really appreciate all your suggestions..

Were you:
a) under 31 on june 15, 2012
b) did you enter the country before june 15, 2007?
c) Were you under 16 when you last entered the country?

If you answered no to any of those, then unfortunately the dream act isn't for you.

Since it sounds like you violated the terms of your visa and are now an illegal visa overstay, your options to remain in the country are very very very limited. You have to get married. That's your ONLY choice to get legalized -- and even then it'll be a major hassle.

Best of luck, my friend.

Actually, those are the qualifications for daca and NOT the dream act. So if the OP came here under 16 and has lived in the U.S for more than 5 years before the Dream Act passes, then she should qualify.
