not a good idea to do so. the first thing they will check is the forms which tells your age anyway so theyll toss it out right away. im hoping dream act will pull through for everyone.

I dont think it matters if your friend had an MD/PhD....rules are rules, and theyve been adamant about upholding them. Hopefully there is another path for your friend in the future, I personally think he should look into a genuine marriage at this point.

Tell him not to apply. All he's going to do is waste 465$ + and possibly put himself in bad situation (USCIS forwards his case to ICE for a fraudulent application). I mean the requirements are pretty clear and he doesn't qualify, period. He's 31, tell him to marry a USC, that's the only thing he's got going for him. Or he can wait for CIR but I don't think CIR will get passed for another decade.

Dude also, i should have mentioned this but a bachelors degree in EE is not impressive at all....its not like he has a PhD or something. I wouldnt even be impressed if he had a masters because those degrees arent that hard to get now a days. (btw, i just graduated in may with a comparable major)

I was watching a DACA lawyer Q&A and though your friend can't apply for DACA, there still is regular Deferred Action. Of course this option isn't for everyone and it would depend completely on your case if there is even a chance of getting approval, but it is a possibility to speak over with a lawyer.
