Apologies if this thread was made before but I just got my letter today and had a question.

They are asking for government issued ID's. So to the people that got their bio done, what type of ID's did you use?

I'm planning on taking my birth certificate, expired visa in my mothers passport (has a picture of me at age 5, now im 24) and a university ID. Would this be enough?

I tried taking my expired passport with child photos, they didn't take that, but they took my School I.D. I dont know, it might be different for you.

From what I've read; it matters on the guard at the location.

Here's my experience thread - http://dreamact.info/forum/showthrea...823#post300823

I went with my country's national ID card. The guard asked me for my passport but told her I didn't bring it. I then told her I also had my College ID. She took both and took my appointment letter and IDs to the managers office. The manager then approved my identification and got my biometrics done.

Others haven't been so lucky. It really depends on the guard and whether he/she is nice or is power hungry and is a complete douche because they know they have a lot of leverage on you.

I used my Mexican Matricula. I didn't really asked them what other types of ID were acceptable besides the ones they say to bring. But with my experience, expire ID are usually not acceptable. But you never know...good luck

Would the Mexican Consular ID card aka "matricula" work for ID for bios work? Did anybody try to
use it? Did it work? Did you also provide another ID?
