Hey guys...

Its been more than 3 weeks since I recieved my I-797 and I still haven't gotten my biomets appointment. Anyone that sent their application in August and still waiting on theirs?? Is there someone I can call from the USCIS to check on it, the online thing doesn't really show me much. I'm a bit worried.

They could have mailed your Biometrics appointment to a wrong address, and there won't be anything you can do about it until 30 days after they received your application.

You can try calling USCIS and asking them if they can check if it was sent out, but they will likely tell you to call back later.

Call the 800 number and talk to the rep, they might be able to pull up your record and see if it's been issued and mailed to you or not.

Hmmm....I just called them, and the girl that I spoke to sound very robotic...lol. They basically said to call back after 30 days of the recieved date if I haven't gotten the appointment yet. Hopefully I wouldn't resort to that.

Someone else had a similar issue and when he/she called it turns out the appointment was for three days from that day. You should try again with someone else because you may have missed your appointment after three weeks.

Well the lady said that if I had missed the appointment, it would've shown in my case status already, then I can call and let them know that I didn't recieve any letter and they would help me make other arrangements. For now, my status is still unchanged, so if I don't get anything by Friday...the 30th day...then I would call again either way. I haven't checked the mail today, so hopefully it would be there.

Hmmm....

Every time I had a question for the USCIS and I had to call in, I'd call in 4-5 times, talk to different people and then "average" out the answers hahaha.

For working there they don't seem very knowledgeable.

Hmmm....
They're stupid, your appointment is scheduled about 2 weeks after they send you the notice, so if it got lost, it would only be a matter of time before it showed up that you missed your appointment.

Why the hell would they not just check with the Service center to see if they have sent you your Biometrics instead of waiting until you miss your appointment.

^^^ true dat! I had to social engineer my way into making them tell me when is my appointment, turns out is next Thursday, I have no notice yet but that would be less than two week notice. I really hope I receive it later this week otherwise they are going to fax me one that says "this is not an original document, acceptance of this document is up to the discretion of the receiving officer"
Sighhh, at least i have an appt.
