This may seem like a dumb question, but for people who've done it - should i have a government issued photo id for my bio-metrics appointment? I mean, i would think our category specifically doesn't exactly have this on hand. i have an expired passport from when i was like 9 and my university id. do i have enough time to renew my passport if need be?

Without an updated ID, they'll need to do the cavity search on you. Good luck!

That will depend on the ASC you go in. Some are more lenient than others.

This is what USCIS tells you to bring.

Passport or national photo identification issued by your country, or

Driver’s license, or

State-issued photo identification card.

As you can see, it doesn't say school ID, although I have read that some people have been able to do it with their college ID. Like I said, it depends on the ASC you were assigned to.

They generally accet a school ID for Special Juvenile status, but for DACA they have been asking that you bring the birth certificate as well if that is all you have. I would bring the expired PP, College ID, and the original BC.

Just did my biometrics yesterday at the Portland OR USCIS office and they took my old expired passport from when I was nine along with my college ids from 7 yrs ago.
