I obtained ITIN few years ago and had been building my credit on it (car loan payments, credit card payments, etc). Now that from EAD, I would be able to get a actual SSN, can my credit history from ITIN be transferred to the new SSN??? Just want to know what our community think of this. Thanks!!!

Do you mean I just to have to notify the lender?? What about social security office?? I would think they need to know to merge the two numbers together.....

Send a letter to each credit agency. That's what I did, and it worked.

I am doing the same thing once I get my SSN because I also have a credit history with my ITIN that I would want to transfer.

So when we call the bank and credit card company's and tell them about the new social, will they ask any questions as in why?
