Here is my theory, Texas and Nebraska are red states, they dislike Obama and his policies. Notice California, blue. If DHS gave a timeline of 4-6 months, they will take as long as they want to complete an application.

Look at the speed of California compared to Nebraska. California is approving about 5-6 business days after the Biometrics. Nebraska is taking around 2 weeks. Texas has approved like 2 or 3 people from this forum?

Everybody whose applications were routed to NEBRASKA & TEXAS, please respond here if it's been MORE than 15 days since your biometric appointment and have still not received approval. Only then we'll be able to understand because my sentiments exactly OP.

12 days after biometrics. I can still see light at the end of the road. The mail man thinks I'm a weirdo and I'm probably the one backlogging the uscis page since I refresh my notification page too much. Don't know how much I'll survive this.

Good observation, I doubt its that. Because Nebraska was doing good with all the i797. Just like what someone else stated in the forum, the unexpected walk-ins caused backlogs in their system considering they were the first ones who gave out the biometrics appt quickly.

Wasn't Nebraska the first to approve several members on this forum though? I think there are other factors involved other than Republican views. Think about it. When those who got approved early did their walk-in their application was the first to be looked at (and there weren't so many or better yet NO ONE doing biometrics) so all USCIS were doing was sending receipts and scheduling appointments therefore theirs was approved quicker. Also take in consideration the evidence that was sent and who processed it. Now number of walk-ins have increased along with number of people going on their actual appointment date therefore they are taking "longer". They did tell us it could be a 90 day wait. So just try to chillax.

It's not like the people in California aren't doing walk-ins either, their speed hasn't gone down.

That's cause California's full of hippies! hahaha jk

Perhaps in California there's more employees? There's still time and look I know TX has its fame of being conservative and loco but I still think it's not time to panic like this....

Yes, it is ridiculous. We sent our application on 8/15 delivered 8/16. We are in Phoenix but it was routed to Nebraska???? WHY??? Argh!!!We received Biometrics appt 9/13 and still nothing, and people that got routed to California which sent their application 2 weeks later are already approved. This is INSANE!!!!!!!
