SSN Office

Hey to those who are saying that you need to wait 10 days and then another week or so to get a print out.... Bullcrap. You either got lied to or something. I received my dad card on the 9th (october) and went to the ssoffice. He gave me a recipe and told me to come back today to get my number printed if I wanted. Guess what I have the ssn now. 2 days after easy and less than a week after being approved.

Ignorance + luck = fucking bliss

How is this luck? I asked him about the 10 day period and he said he never heard of that and whoever told me that is uninformed

it all has to get cleared by DHS, as long as they clear it on the same day then of course they will give you the # faster, my sister only had to wait 5 days for hers.

she is now a licensed driver in the state of california as of today! i can't wait until i get my stuff!

Oh and to anyone who wants to know I went to the ssoffice in garden Grove on gilbert street california

This is exactly why they advise you to wait:
"Some aliens apply for Social Security numbers (SSNs) within days of arriving in the U.S. or immediately after a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) change in status. In some cases, SAVE reflects their latest information but generally it takes about 7 to 10 days before SAVE has the information available."

Did it ever occur to you that every office is different and they will tell you different things? Some won't process your application until after 10 days.
