are we considered legal aliens?

on any sign up form for credit card or school, it asks for your immigration status and it has

"citizen"

"PR"

"legal alien"

"other"

and i don't know which one to choose.
are we legal aliens or still illegal immigrants?

Since our presence is not considered illegal anymore and we have ssn , aren't we technically legal aliens?

We are not legal, because it said in the I797, i think, that this does not incur legal status, so you must put OTHER.
