Hey guys. I just received my EAD in the mail today and there is a typo on my birthday as it states 17 May instead of 7 May. I started freaking out and went through all of my previous i-797 notices and the copy of the original I-765 application and DUN DUN DUN, I did make a typo on my original application... I had it correct on my I-821D app but not on the I-765. I can't believe I didn't catch this on my application and the i-797s... Ugghh I'm so mad at myself right now and feel really really stupid... -_____-. I am going to call in tomorrow and hopefully they can change the birthday and send me a new EAD as soon as possible. Until then,,, my trip to the SSA will have to wait... T_T

Anyways, lesson of the story: Triple or quadruple check every detail on any application... T___T

Apparently the many temps/part timers USCIS hired for DACA aren't too good at cross-referencing, nor at simply typing in what's on the apps and all other proofs of identity. I also had a typo on my EAD, but in my case, they wrote my middle name twice. Ha ha ha......
Call USCIS to request a correction, and hop on the waiting boat! Again!!

So I've been reading stuff online regarding typo on EADs and basically if the mistake was on your part, you have to reapply and pay the processing fee of $340 again.. Omg.. *facepalm*... I will call tomorrow and try my best to convince that the mistake was on them .. Or maybe it would be better to make an appointment at a local USCIS office via infopass and go talk to them in person..

Well, considering the application for the EAD was the I-765, in which you made the mistake... who knows though, give them a call and see if they can let is slip by.

The fee is $380 isn't it?
