I know we CA dreamers who applied for Deferred Action are per-occupied with it.

But this is concerning the CA DREAM ACT.
To any dreamer that is from cali. AND GOING TO A COMMUNITY COLLEGE. Has that community college granted you the BOG-Waiver for the coming winter and spring semesters for 2013. I have tried and tried taking to my community college financial aid office and they still have nothing regarding the ca dream act.

I am just at a lost. I want o get the BOG-Waiver for the winter and spring but I need help from those that know or have talked to someone in their community college. Thanks.

Jeez, under the CA DREAM ACT (which I already applied for) starting in the winter semester a California ab540 student can have their fees waived via a BOG-waiver.
I want to get this waiver but my the community college that I go to still has not information regarding this.

I AM ASKING HAS ANYONE THAT GOES TO CALIFORNIA COMMUNITY COLLEGE HAVE ANY INFORMATION REGARDING THEIR FEES BEING WAIVED FOR THE UPCOMING WINTER AND SPRING SESSIONS. OR IF THEY HAVE TALKED TO SOMEONE IN THEIR COLLEGE AND HAS GIVEN THEM ANY NEW INFORMATION.

I'm in the same boat. I applied a while back though, when it passed. However, I have not heard anything since...

Is there any way that we can check that status?

hey bro be more specific when asking something. not my fault you can't express yourself clearly.

i know what the BOG waiver is. they probably have no idea what you're talking about because they don't know what the DREAM Act is. if you apply for the BOG waiver you should qualify for it. why don't you ask them when the BOG is applied instead of asking about the DREAM Act.

I emailed the California Student Aid Commission. They send me back an email stating this :

"Your California Dream Application was successfully submitted on (blank). Your application information was sent to the college listed on the application. It is very important that you contact your campus Financial Aid office to ask what other forms or information they may need from you to determine your eligibility for student financial aid. The campus may require other forms and may have deadlines that you must meet.

If you still have questions regarding your Dream Application, please contact CSAC’s Customer Relations Branch at 1-888-224-7268. The Customer Relations Branch fields calls Monday through Thursday from 10:00 am to 11:45 am and from 1:00 pm to 4:45 pm. "

It says that I need to contact the schools to see what else they may need which is a complete hassle.
