What to tell current employers?? Share your story

I'm waiting on my DACA approval, and maybe it's too early for me to worry about this, but once I get my SS# how do I change it with my current employers?
I work for a really small company, I'm their only employee and they love me! Part of me wants to be honest with them, but the other part of me is super scared.

For all those already approved, how did u handle this??

Im in a similar position, except i worked at a company that pays really good under a different name and different
Social. They want me back and i want to go back as well. Part of the reason why i left was because they use to send me to SD and i couldnt afford to take that risk ofently just for money. Now im willing to go back and explain the whole thing, i suggest u do the same. Good luck

Tell them you've gone through identity theft and got a new social?

Just tell them you some immigration issues and were issued a new social.

Let me add to this question. If you provide your employer with a new social. Will you be issued two W2 forms or can they just issue you one form? Will you have problems with immigration?

it'll be more of a update the current w2. And we won't have problems with immigration. it's the whole point of getting a work permit.

They know I'm about my status but what they don't know is that I'm quitting after i get my permit.

Preach it. I work at a Mexican restaurant.. I found out that a coworker (white girl) was making more per hour than I was (bartending). They asked me if I would bartend one night and I made the comment, "Maybe if you'd pay me as much as her". Then my idiot coworker (3o something yr old male USC who plans on saving to move to Mexico) said, "ella es guerra, tu eres mojarra". Manager didn't say a word. Can't wait to quit.

I'm also wondering about this. I don't want to risk losing my job because I like it. So I decided to keep everything as is and only bust out my EAD and social when they confront me about my fake papers.

Ill also start looking for another job. Although it will be hard because they're going to ask me. "What's going to happen when your EAD expires?" And most likely I will lie and tell them "well, I hope to have my green card by then but if not then I will renew it six months prior to expiration day."
