went to new brunswick in NJ to apply. Did not wait 10 days only 7.

Interview questions were

"Have you ever visited USA before"

"Have you ever received public benefits"

Thats it.

Said i should have my card in 2 weeks.

Thanks for posting the interview questions. I had a post up before you posted this and it seem like ppl are so quick to jump down your throat instead of helping you out. I thought the point of this page was to help each other out and not be quick to judge but whatever I have seen this a lot on here.

Man people from central and north jersey seem to be getting lucky when applying for a ssn, here in south jersey the ssa employees are mean, they make you wait for ever. I appied oct 1st, went back to check the 16th and was told to wait another week.

I got my EAD on 10/9 and I just got back from going to SSA in NJ as well. Had the form already filled out when I got there and had my EAD card and Passport plus that application. I literally waited like 5 minutes or so to be called, then the lady just took all my documents, said "aww you look like a little baby in your passport" (I was a young teen when I got that passport) and after like a few minutes of her writing stuff into the computer, she handed me a receipt saying I should get a card in the mail in two weeks. I asked if I could come back for a printout and she said, "No". Yet, overall a pleasant experience.

I used free lunch from 8th to 12th at school. Does it count as "public benefits"? I'm afraid I might be disqualified for a SSN because of this.

LMAO, I'm sorry this was just so funny. No, you will not be disqualified because of "free lunch" in school.
